Hiroki Oda 1914 – 2012, Born in Kaho-gun (present-day Kama City), Fukuoka Prefecture. Due to his relationship with Tsuguharu Fujita, he exhibited at the Nika Exhibition and later served as president of the Nika Exhibition. Throughout his life, he continued to paint works that evoked the atmosphere of Paris through his uniquely Japanese expression. Once, standing in front of one of Oda’s works, I had the illusion that I was hearing a chanson. It seems that he devoted his life to painting with his beloved wife, Lilla, selflessly.
