Unkoku Totetsu (1631-1683) was a painter active in the early Edo period. Born in Hagi, Nagato Province (Yamaguchi Prefecture). He was the third son of the second generation of the Ungaya school, Ungaya Tomoyasu. Called by Mori Hidenari, he became an official painter of the Hagi clan, which had a separate family. In 1653, he was appointed to the rank of Hohashi, and in 1682, to the rank of Hogen, but he was convicted of a crime and died of illness while under pressure.
