Nagamasa Kuroda (1568-1623) was a military commander and feudal lord from the Azuchi-Momoyama period to the early Edo period. He was the first lord of the Chikuzen Fukuoka domain. He was the eldest son of Kuroda Takataka. In 1582, he was appointed to the post of “Kai” in the six counties of Buzen, his father’s domain, and in 1589, he was appointed to the post of “Kai”, the fifth highest rank in the domain. In 1623, he went to Tokyo prior to the Shogun Hidetada’s arrival in Kyoto, and died of illness at his lodgings in Kyoto.
