Suzuki Kiitsu (1976-1858) was a painter of the late Edo period. His alias was Tamesaburo, his real name was Motonaga, and his pen name was Zibuchi. Kiichi was his stage name, which he later used as a nickname. At the age of 18, he became an apprentice of Hoitsu Sakai, and after the death of Suzuki Kitan, a valet of Hoitsu, he became a son-in-law of the Suzuki family and a vassal of the Sakai family. After Hoitsu’s death, he established his own style of painting based on Hoitsu’s style and gained fame.
