Daiten Kenjo (1719-1801) was a Zen monk active in the mid-Edo period. Born in Omi. He actively associated with many writers and artists, and was especially well known for his exchange with Sacha-ocha. He continued to support Ito Jakuchu, an eccentric painter, and had him paint the sliding doors of Shokokuji Temple. He also excelled in Chinese poetry, and participated in the “Chaos Poetry Company” led by Katayama Hokkai.
