Minamoto Rankei (1729-?) was a painter active in the mid-Edo period. His name was Yoshikazu, and his characters were Fluttering, and he went by such names as Ran-kyo, Lonan, and Mokutei. Born in Edo.
He studied painting under Zhuge Zhu-ge, a painter of the Nampin school. Genran-kyo is also said to have taught painting to Matsudaira Sadanobu, the third lord of the Shirakawa domain, who is also said to have been Yamamoto Matasaburo, a retainer of the Gosan-no-Tayasu family.
