Nagasawa Ashisu (1767-1847) was a painter of the Maruyama School. He was a disciple and stepson of Nagasawa Ashisetsu, a highly respected disciple of Maruyama Okyo. His name is Rin, his characters are Tamae, and his other names are Ashishu and Nankyo.He is said to have been born in Tamba Province (present-day Tamba, Hyogo Prefecture) or Kiba, Himeji City, and his family name is said to be Ueda, but this is not certain.
