artdescription
This art here was drawn by Maruyama Ōkyo when he was 36 years old.
It seems like he referred to some art drawn in the past becouse it is impossible to see a tiger at that time.
This is not drawn delicately so much becouse of his youth, but the tiger is obviously drawn with dynamism.
This art is rare because it contains his signature.

Maruyama Ōkyo (1733-1795) was a painter of the mid and late Edo period.

He learnt about how to paint from some Chinase and European paintings.
His delicate art style let him establish his own group which is the origin of modern arts in Kyōto.
