1923 – 1985
He moved to Spain at the age of 43, moved to Paris at 46, and returned to Japan at 49. He died suddenly in 1985 at the age of 57.
He left many works with motifs of drunken people and old women he met in Spain and Paris.
Kamoi’s specialty was portraits of people in motion, and he continued to paint portraits with motifs of people who were close to him in his daily life.
